Dr. Joseph Pratt AuD is a board-certified audiologist and Certified Hearing Conservation Professional Supervisor (CPS/A), as defined by the Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), with experience in hearing conservation, clinical audiology, research and development, and occupational health.
As a former military audiologist and naval officer, Dr. Pratt was responsible for one of the largest hearing conservation programs in San Diego, California for the Department of Defense, where he identified program deficiencies, made appropriate recommendations, and provided on-site consultation and training services. As a certified Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) course director, he has administered over 20 hearing conservation courses throughout the world, certifying hundreds of occupational hearing conservation technicians.
After receiving Honorable Discharges from the U.S. Navy in 2019, Dr. Pratt and Dr. Ortiz, former classmates at Texas Tech University, purchased Precision Hearing Conservation. They are committed to expanding services to meet the challenges and changes in the field of hearing conservation while maintaining the same high quality for which Precision Hearing Conservation is known.
