I grew up on a farm in rural Illinois before heading to Concordia University Texas and Texas Tech University for my education.
My journey into hearing care began in college, when I met my girlfriend — now my wife — and was introduced to her sister, who is deaf and uses cochlear implants. That experience opened my eyes to the world of audiology and inspired me to pursue this specialty.
While serving in the US Navy, I was stationed at Naval Station San Diego — home to the Navy's largest hearing conservation program — where I was one of only two or three Navy audiologists nationwide responsible for protecting the hearing of thousands of active-duty sailors.
As one of the owners here, my day-to-day responsibilities include seeing patients, supporting our team in whatever they need, and ensuring our business stays on the right financial path. I especially enjoy the hearing conservation side of our work, as it often takes us out of the office and into the community.
Outside of the clinic, I love spending time with my family, especially hiking together at state or national parks!
